My Story
Thank you so much for wanting to learn more about me. I joined Scentsy in March 2016 all because I didn't want to pay shipping, but this has turned into so much more! I have always struggled with self esteem for as long as I can remember. Maybe that stemmed from losing my grandfather and only brother in a tractor trailer accident when I was little and thinking everyone around me wouldn't have been as sad if it had been me (crazy what a 7 year old can think during an unexpected tragedy). My family dealt with the grief through food which made me struggle with my weight and self confidence. If you pair low self confidence with a teen girl who didn't have a father in the home, you get a recipe for unhealthy relationship decisions. I found myself pregnant my senior year of college and married to an abusive, manipulative man. The one thing that carried me through all of that was my faith. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason and that everyone has a story. I have always wanted a platform to share my story, and Scentsy has been the catalyst to allow me to share just how much my life has changed. I love that this business is built on relationships with customers, hostesses, other consultants, and it is now a HUGE part of my relationship with my husband - which God picked for me the 2nd time around. We both run this Scentsy business together. It has become so much more for us than just saving on shipping and making our house smell amazing. It has brought an opportunity for me to supplement my teacher income without having to find a second job. It has brought me self confidence in finally finding a job that combines my love of building relationships, my gift of gab, and a product that everyone loves. It has brought opportunities to travel the world for free by earning currently four incentive trips with my husband and has taught me that travel is one of my love languages. Most importantly, it has given me opportunities to meet other people and learning THEIR stories!
